- Tenant transaction data is protected by Postgres Row-Level Security enforced at the database connection boundary
- Large language models receive sanitized
- ephemeral prompt payloads in volatile memory with zero server retention
- Client financial queries never enter training pipelines for public foundation models
- Deterministic local math handles numeric calculations while AI focuses purely on semantic synthesis
Why Financial AI Requires Architectural Paranoia
Integrating generative AI into personal finance presents a core dilemma: users want conversational synthesis and intelligent insights, but financial transactions represent the most intimate personal telemetry in existence.
A careless implementation that dumps raw database rows into an external API creates grave privacy liabilities. If that provider retains logs for retraining, your medical co-pays, salary negotiations, and spending habits become part of a public model's statistical weights.
At YFINIQ, we designed our architecture from the ground up around Deterministic Privacy.

Private LLM Inference (Memory-Only Execution, 0 Days Retention)
1. Database-Level Isolation with PostgreSQL RLS
We enforce data boundaries at the SQL engine level rather than relying on application code. Every query executed on behalf of a user is scoped to their authenticated user UUID via PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (auth.uid() = user_id).
Even in the event of an application logic bug or prompt-injection attempt, the database engine physically rejects any query attempting to cross tenant boundaries.
2. Transient In-Memory Context Assembly
When you query the YFINIQ assistant ("How did my grocery spending compare to last month?"), the application server fetches only the necessary aggregate numbers, constructs an ephemeral prompt, and delivers it to our enterprise model provider under a legally binding Zero Data Retention (ZDR) agreement.
Once the mathematical synthesis is returned to your screen, the prompt buffer is purged from server memory.
3. Separation of Math from Language
LLMs are probabilistic reasoning engines, not calculators. Allowing an LLM to calculate account balances or sum up expenses produces hallucinations and errors.
In YFINIQ, all financial arithmetic (totals, moving averages, standard deviations, and percentages) is computed deterministically in TypeScript before the LLM sees it. The AI's role is strictly limited to explaining and summarizing the verified numbers in clear, human language.
Trust Built on Verifiable Principles
Privacy should not be an afterthought or a marketing slogan. By combining strict database RLS, zero-retention API contracts, and deterministic computation, YFINIQ proves that modern AI power and uncompromising privacy can live together in harmony. To understand the broader implications of this for everyday users, read our overview on Why Your Financial Data Shouldn't Train Public AI Models.

What does zero retention mean in enterprise AI APIs?▾
Zero retention contracts legally and technically guarantee that the AI provider immediately discards request and response payloads upon HTTP transaction completion, prohibiting storage for logging, human review, or model fine-tuning.
Why does YFINIQ use deterministic math instead of asking the LLM to calculate numbers?▾
Large language models predict statistical token sequences rather than executing exact arithmetic logic. Delegating arithmetic to deterministic TypeScript functions prevents calculation hallucinations.
